The best soft phone is getting better – and it’s still FREE

This morning I woke up to awesome news. Our great soft phone has gotten even better. Our developers in Europe had finished some tune ups increasing pushing the envelope of our superior quality video features even further (see below).
A while ago we introduced a new soft phone (after having released lots of soft phone for our customers in the past( like buddyphone, Nikotel, mac2phone, win2phone and others). We very fast renamed it to “communicator” since “phone” does not really even scratch the surface of what this software has to offer. So why do I and fortunately our customers think it’s so great?
The REMWAVE communicator offers phone calls from your PC to regular phones, it offers free calling to other PCs and up to 4 people in a conference. It has the by far best phone book features in the market (check it out!) and the navigation through all features is super simple. You can instant message using smiley’s and all that.
But the real highlights are…
It has a REMWAVE video codec which is better than H263 and better than H.264 in most situations. We decided early that we will not use these annoying artifacts during video chats like basically all of our competitors. Most companies starting to turn people into a mosaic puzzle once the connection speed goes down. You know these blurry pictures when you use Skype or other solutions. What we do is lowering the amount of frames with some other magic to still send better quality pictures. A couple days ago I tried our software over an EVDO modem from Verizon in an area with low coverage and I still had full screen high quality video pictures (with less frames per second)! Our communicator is to my knowledge the only solution with high quality screen sharing. You can have a video conference with someone and with one click you start present your screen to him. The quality is something people have not experienced before. It is like a 1:1 copy of your screen, send over the wire. For presentations or technical support really great and for friends, showing off the newest website they found also big fun. The carrier independent light version can be downloaded and used for free. Carriers can buy integrated versions and customized solutions from us. There will be also an enterprise edition available soon. Stay tuned. Your Nikolai Manek
